MAR/APR 2014

It’s been almost 7 weeks since I updated you last…I’m so sorry for getting behind!

I’m happy to say that I’m alive and well and am quickly approaching my 6th month “anniversary” of arriving in this crazy country.

For this newsletter, I did something a little different. Rather than sitting and trying to put words to my thoughts (which I tried several times), I just decided to press “play” and talk. So here you have a raw little 8 minute or so video of me rambling about what’s been going on here in Wewak. I know 8 minutes is quite long for our instant society but my lack of editing skills convinced me to leave it alone 🙂 If you don’t have time to watch it, there a quick summary below!

MAR/APR VIDEO NEWSLETTER

Until next time,

E

Things are going great! We’re staying busy with ministry, seeing lives change and my Pidgin is slowly getting better. My car has arrived in country and will hopefully by in my possession next week! I’m somewhere around 80% as far as my financial support goes and God continues to provide blessing after blessing, completely overwhelming me in the process. Many thanks to those who are partnered with me.

  1. Loved seeing your face and hearing your voice! Love you and praying of you. I think you should do more of these!

  2. Sweet Erika, I loved the video format. It felt like we were sitting across the table at Starbucks getting all caught up on what God has been up to. You are loved and prayed for in the Parish home. So glad for your upcoming respite. I will be praying that your “tank” is refueled physically and emotionally and your spirit encouraged as you spend time with friends from home.
    MUCH MUCH LOVE!!
    Martha

  3. God is always good Erika and i am so happy you are enjoying to see him alive in your life. praying for the lives you are coming in touch. you rock. Keep looking to him. Ashley is coming to visit us, excited about that.

  4. I agree with Martha, it was like having you right here talking to me. I wanted to reach out and hug you as the tears began. So glad that we can get a short visit in next week. I can hug you then.
    Love you,
    Gaynelle
